Right click on Gantt chart area and select Bars..., then in the Bars dialog box, select % Complete to show the progress bar in the Gantt chart.

Hello Gerry,
I couldn't find the progress line in P6. I will continue to check, I'll post here if I can find something. In the mean time, you can use progress bar also I hope, it is quite nice also.

P6 doesn't have one, though it is back in P6.7

On the bar chart area, right click then select "Bar Chart Options" -> Select "Progress Line" tab then configure the progress line. To show it on bar chart, one top menu, select "View" then "Progress Line". Progress line is colored 'red" by default.
