Dear all,

I've ordered a new Primavera 6.2 for a stand alone use.

I want to install it on my workstation but...
I 'm already fighting whit MS SQL server for 4 days now.

Application:
XP pro SP3
Office 2007 pro with a outlook bussiness contact manager  (installed sql server 2005)
Project 2007 pro

During setup, setup always ask me the password for the server system administrator.
Does anybody know this standard password from Microsoft?
Does anybody know a way how to change it in a stand alone envoirement?

please, some help will be gratefull,

regards
Dirk

Dear Dirk,

There is two type of authentication in SQL Server. One is window authentication (default) and other is SQL Server Authentication. If you use window authentication it will not ask you for any login & Password. But if you have SQL Server authentication you need to Login in order to connect database.

So, open the SQL Server Management Studio express and have a look which kind of authentication do you have?
Most Probably (in your Case) it should be SQL Server authentication. You can do two things;

1. Change your authentication mode to Window Authentication so that you do not need Login ID & Password to connect it.

2. or You can use "sa" or "SA" as login ID & button for password as it is default password (if you haven't changed it).

It is advisable that you should try path-1 before going to Path-2.

Please note that You should have correct Server Name i.e -PC\PRIMAVERA.(It is Case-Sensitive).

I hope your problem will be solved.

thanks,
Shambhu
